Fishing lakes Unfamiliar & Fly-in
Minn Kota Trolling Motors Articles December 12th, 2010There is a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment – the pride of craft – that comes with a successful day of fishing on a new, unusual or fly in a lake if there is a limit of bass, a few walleyes for lunch on the ground or a trophy pike. Not because the fish in putting the boat is the benchmark for a successful trip, but because of the success highlights the fact that the fisherman has adapted effectively fishing situations and conditions exist that attract the necessary changes in bait /Selected presentations and positions. This in itself is not an easy task, even for the fly-in lakes, teeming with fish seemingly naive. I assure you that we always breathe a sigh of relief (even on the fly-in), after taking a few fish, the first bank for lunch. Once the initial success has been achieved, the rest is a fishing trip alone.

Onnew lake, you need a systematic approach that will significantly improve the chances of success almost immediately and catches well, although an unknown fishing lake – given the fact that time is almost certainly a limiting factor. To optimize your time and enjoy a day of fishing or a tour of the remote system is required. Here is the Ontario Fisherman trusted approach.
Pre-trip research and planning
Despite the fact that most fly-in and manyRoad attributes lakes offer good fishing, anglers should develop and implement a plan for fishing no unknown seas. Without such a strategy is too short for a trip are spent looking for places to fish or first. Note that I do not say "wasted". No systematic investigation of a lake would be a waste of time – even if the fish is caught.
A key to finding the fish is always quickly eliminate the water "empty", and a way to do this is to testand error. Fine, but what you can spend more time actually fishing in a promising position or proven. This can best be achieved with a dual strategy, strategic approach – one before the trip, the other on the water.
Before the boat in the water "explore" the lake of destination on the paper through the review of available maps and charts. Many times, wins a thorough knowledge of the lake and the identification of potential hot spots can be achieved even withoutstarted in the boat.

Immediately after booking a trip through the work of the lists – a task easier to manage if the group shares in the search. Also, it's really fun to try on the lake, sight unseen, and even better if you find that some of your assessments were correct. And with some of the "leg work" donebefore you travel, you get much time for a thorough on-site "investigation water as soon as your goal.

Take a few minutes to re-draw the map for more details and give each "boat" in your party has a dedicated page for tips and advice. Productive Tactics
Hey, we're fishermen, not cartographer – so let's go fishing! A risk too big to explore strategies for fishing and a lake unknown, break your approach as follows:
Preparation for the work map "
Package of the lake in manageable sections
Cover the water quickly
use a variety of baits and techniques
eliminate unproductive water
locate fishing hotspots
Updating map> read more
Package from the lake / river
It 'easy to get into a new lake, overwhelmed, especially large ones. Instead, the lake is divided into manageable sections and treat each as if it were a separate lake. As each boat to explore, fish, and form a section, information is exchanged e. Later controlled by the other to ensureresults. Although the lakes are very big to be scaled quickly using this approach. However, if there is only one boat and five sections of the lake, starting from the section most promising or recommended for the fish quickly and to avoid, check out precious time "water blank" for half the journey.
On rivers, this system is simple and effective. Spend half a day for each track offers a variety, but may give more time to "better"Spot later.
Cover the water quickly
In a relatively short time, you want to explore, fish and map a certain part of the lake, hoping to identify the most productive in this section. To do this to move quickly – Trolling fast-breaking shorelines, casting beds on display, works with weedlines spinnerbaits, spinners or spoons. If the fish are caught, there may be a range a slower, more precise attack and won later. First stop, however, measurement task to be done to do. Mark on the map and come back later.
While showing a promising area for empty or registered, return or tactics to do so (always identified as the hot spot to visit during the day) at the end of the day. Drift fishing bait in direct approaches, cooks rolling, swimming and fishing are still too slow for this part of the hunt, but you'll need more than that after looking at the key patch slowly and completely.
DeleteUnproductive water
It is said that "you can not bag a silk sow ear," not so precious time to empty the water fishing. "Working on paper, the cross on the back bays choked with weeds, areas with deep" mud "funds or less than six feet in the water. Coastlines Abandon, the slope progressively deeper levels regularly. Remember, most of the lake deeper basin (over 25 feet). Casting forget cane growing on top of the sand banks just two or three feet of water. This approach effectively eliminate more than two thirds of most lakes and not only save time and frustration, but also ensure that the most of your precious time is spent fishing on the most productive areas.
Of course there are exceptions to every example above – Bass in the broth at the beginning of the season, the pike in the shallows, lake trout in deep, but most are seasonal patterns of movement, which in turn contribute to other sectors that could eliminate more with anotherPart of the season.
Pinpoint & Mark primes Cover Structures
With much of the lake during the first Scouting rating should be eliminated on the first spot of the lake and the structural characteristics, are now much easier. Fish promising or recommended patch slowly and completely. When a good place and good catches come together, only the buoy that marks the spot on your GPS device with a marker float or triangular carefully the exact locationHelp attractions near and obvious. Just select from a working copy of the map (in color).
Updating map
Whether for personal use on subsequent trips, as a favor to the groups below, or to support the equipment, hold the paper until today, as a significant value for all stakeholders. Mine come in handy when I get fishing trips of journal articles and numerous requests each year to summarize e-mail. Show me yours, and IShow me!
